The first time I went to a sweat lodge, I was profoundly touched as the water pourer told us our first round of prayer would be about gratitude.  It was the first time I had been in a ceremony where the prayers began in gratitude.  As I listened, and then as I said my own prayers, my heart was bursting and my tears were flowing.  I realized, for all the painful healing I was doing, that my life was good—really good.

As I prepare for this Thanksgiving Holiday, I am making a dedication to feel more gratitude for my life today, than I have ever felt before.  I am wondering how much gratitude my humble heart can hold.

At this Forum, usually I am answering questions I have been hearing from others. But today, I would like to ask you the question, if I may?

How much gratitude can your heart hold?

In my heart and songs,
Reverend Misa
