Rev. Miska, your response to Trina's question hit home for me! When you pointed out that a healing practice of taking on another's pain & transforming it thru our own bodies was an advanced form of healing taught to some of us in previous lives. This did hit home because I had an experience where my father was rushed to the hospital & it was determined he had a blood clot & might have had a stroke. I focused & saw the clot. I was able to see the clot & was able to see it vanish. I found out he wound up with no side effects &  checked himself out of the hospital. He was totally fine! The doctors were shocked! I am an empath & pick up on people's emotions all the time. It drains me. I found your point very interesting where you indicated there is also a point where our empathy can go so deep that we actually are taking away their power in our attempts to take away their pain. I advocate for women & children who have had problems w/welfare, child support issues, etc. I can actually see your point & agree, and I have done exactly that. I "feel" so much, that I have been taking away their power. I have felt like a failure, but will focus on your recommendation of focusing on simply holding loving, compassionate awareness along with faith in the person's ability to heal themselves. Thank you!

I do hope you will let us know whether the act of holding compassion actually makes a difference for you and reduces the amount of energy drain that you feel. We do need each other's stories, experiences and wisdom in order to use our energy gifts in the best ways possible. I would certainly love to hear if this subtlety in perspective makes a difference for you.

Thanks for sharing your story with all of us.

In my heart and songs,
Misa
